It was recently announced that Microsoft would be offering a 4GB Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect for a mere $99. I know what you’re thinking, (and it’s the same thought I had) what’s the catch?
Well, rather than purchasing a year of the Xbox Live Gold Premium Membership, you’d be in an actual contract (as in a two-year agreement, as though it were a wireless company) with Microsoft paying 14.99 a month. After Two years that totals out to be around 360 dollars plus the 99 you paid for the offer in the first place. If you’re someone who can only afford to pay things monthly as opposed to getting everything at once, then this might be an easy way out for you. Â However, if you’re looking for a better deal (granted you have the money available) I’d just go out, buy the 4GB Xbox 360 Slim + Kinect package from a local retailer, then either purchase a membership from Amazon where it tends to be cheaper or check out the dashboard once you’re all set up for a deal. Sometimes the offers on the dashboard will be a year membership for up to half off!
